Michael Holland's culinary career began early on, inspired by his parents, and his love and respect for his country, he joined the United States Army as Field Cook. After honorably serving his country, Holland sought opportunities to further develop and refine his culinary techniques.
Michael's culinary repertoire flourished after leaving the United States Army, spending the next 35+ years developing his own creativity while working for school foods programs; the University of Nebraska Hewitt Athletics Training Table; the Nebraska City Public School District where he enhanced nutrition standards for school children. Upon his tenure as Director of Nutritional Services for the Plattsmouth Nebraska Public School District, Holland continued his career as a Chef at Country Clubs and 5 star hotels. It was there where he extended his skills to all the outlets of the hotel industry, landing him at fine dining restaurants, pleasing the pallets of the most exclusive clientele.
After Many Years in the food Industry, Michael decided to open Dinty Moores Bar and Horseshoe Cafe and Catering, fully dedicated to gourmet and home-style cooking. Located in his hometown of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Dinty Moore's Bar and Horseshoe Cafe had a menu full of unique flavors that appealed to the customers from all walks of life. After a stint of Business Owner, Michael settled in Midland Texas, where he was the Executive Chef for Midland College. Although a great and fulfilling position, the Covid-19 pandemic forced the School closure, leading him to Wichita Falls,Texas. Becoming the Sous Chef for WFISD and then assumed the role of Executive Chef for Cameron University in Lawton Oklahoma.
